The Triumph Scrambler 400 X has been introduced at an ex-showroom price of Rs. 2.63 lakhs and is available in three colors: Matt Khaki Green, Carnival Red, and Silver Ice. Bookings can be made with a refundable token amount of Rs. 10,000.

Its design takes inspiration from its larger counterparts, borrowing styling elements from the Scrambler 900 and 1200. The bike boasts rugged features like headlight, radiator, sump, and handguard protection, a handlebar brace with a pad, an upswept silencer, dual-purpose tires, and an extended front mudguard.

Under the hood, it is powered by a liquid-cooled, 4-valve, DOHC, single-cylinder 398.15cc engine, generating 40 PS at 8000 RPM and 37.5 Nm at 6500 RPM, coupled with a 6-speed gearbox featuring a torque-assist clutch.

With a seat height of 835 mm and a kerb weight of 179 kg, it comes equipped with 43 mm upside-down Big Piston forks in the front with 150 mm of wheel travel, while the rear features a gas monoshock with an external reservoir and pre-load adjustment, also with 150 mm of wheel travel.

For braking, it employs a 320 mm disc in the front and a 230 mm disc at the rear, complemented by Bosch dual-channel ABS. The bike sports a sizeable analog cluster with an integrated LCD screen that offers a digital tachometer, fuel range, gear indicator, and more. It includes a USB-C port for charging devices.

The Scrambler 400 X offers security features such as a steering lock and an anti-theft immobilizer as standard. The ignition key incorporates a transponder chip to ensure that only the owner can start the engine.
