Tata Motors Gears Up for Nexon's Green Revolution: Unveils Turbo CNG Variant and Teases Dark Edition EV

Tata Motors is set to launch the eagerly anticipated CNG version of the Nexon, unveiling official images alongside a teaser for the Nexon EV Dark edition. Both variants are slated for release in the next couple of months.

The forthcoming Tata Nexon CNG will mark India's initial turbo CNG car, equipped with the 1.2-liter turbocharged petrol engine and an accompanying AMT gearbox. This combination promises a harmonious blend of performance, convenience, and fuel efficiency.

Featuring the innovative twin-cylinder CNG tanks introduced in Tata's recent CNG lineup, the Nexon CNG maximizes boot space, as demonstrated in the official images. Notably, the spare wheel has been strategically placed beneath the boot.

While the specifications of the Nexon iCNG are yet to be disclosed by the Indian automaker, it is expected to command a premium of approximately Rs. 1.5 lakhs over its regular petrol counterpart. The introduction of the CNG variant will expand the Nexon lineup, offering a diverse range of powertrains, including petrol, diesel, electric, and now CNG, to cater to a broader audience.

In addition to the CNG concept, Tata Motors has teased the Nexon EV Dark edition. As anticipated, this variant will showcase all-black elements, encompassing the exterior, alloys, and interior with red contrast stitching. While potential additional features are expected, the mechanical aspects are likely to remain unchanged.
