Revving Up the Scrambler Scene: Royal Enfield's Interceptor Bear 650 Roars to Life

Royal Enfield's Interceptor 650

In a recent development, Royal Enfield has trademarked the name "Interceptor Bear 650" for its forthcoming Scrambler variant of the beloved Interceptor. This thrilling addition to their lineup has been spied undergoing final testing in international markets, unveiling exciting details.

At the front, the Interceptor Bear 650 sports a classic circular headlamp adorned with LED lights and a dash of chrome elegance. Borrowing USD forks from the Super Meteor, the bike ensures a comfortable and robust ride. With wire spoke wheels and dual-purpose rubber tires, it's ready to conquer diverse terrains.

While retaining some components from the Interceptor 650, Royal Enfield has given the handlebar a stylish tweak, introducing a connecting rod—a signature feature of scrambler bikes. Expect a touch of foam on that rod for a premium touch. The bike embraces a single-seat configuration, with the possibility of RE offering new ribbed seats to enhance the Scrambler's aesthetics.

Adding to the charm, the Interceptor Bear 650 features a fresh tail light embellished with chrome elements and LED turn indicators. A quintessential scrambler characteristic is the circular panel beneath the seat, serving as a number board plate for racing events. Rolling on 19-inch front wheels and 17-inch rear wheels, it's geared up for an adventure of a lifetime.

Under the hood, this Scrambler will be powered by the same 649cc parallel-twin air/oil-cooled engine that delivers 47 BHP at 7150 RPM and a hefty 52 Nm of torque at 5250 RPM, channeled through a responsive 6-speed gearbox. The Interceptor Bear 650 promises to be an exhilarating addition to the world of scramblers, with a distinct Royal Enfield touch.
