Mahindra's Thar 5-Door Unveiled: A Dashboard Sneak Peek and Luxe Upgrades Await the Adventure Enthusiasts!

Mahindra is preparing for the launch of the 5-door variant of its popular Thar model in the coming year. Despite having been previously spotted on multiple occasions, a recent leaked image provides a closer look at the upcoming model's dashboard.

The revealed image showcases the dashboard mounted on what seems to be a test rig. While the overall layout resembles the current Thar, there's an evident provision for a larger touchscreen infotainment system. Noteworthy features such as the circular air vents and central console remain consistent with the existing model.

Anticipated enhancements for the Thar 5-door include heavily bolstered front seats equipped with a sizable center armrest. Additionally, the second-row seats may feature adjustable headrests. The SUV is expected to offer a single-pane sunroof, adding a touch of luxury to its design.

Under the hood, the Thar 5-door will retain the same engine options as its 3-door counterpart. This includes a 2.2-litre diesel engine generating 130 BHP and 300 Nm of torque, along with a 2.0-litre petrol engine delivering 150 BHP and 300-320 Nm of torque. Both engines are likely to be available with 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmissions.
