Kia Motors has recently issued a voluntary recall affecting 4,358 units of the Kia Seltos due to a potential concern with the electronic oil pump controller in the car's CVT gearbox. This issue could impact the performance of the electronic oil pump, specifically in models manufactured between February 28 and July 13, 2023.

Taking proactive measures, Kia is actively reaching out to affected customers to replace the faulty part. If you haven't received communication from the automaker, it is recommended to visit your nearest dealership for a thorough vehicle check.

The affected IVT variants are equipped with a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine that produces 115 HP. Additionally, the Kia Seltos offers a choice between a 116 HP, 1.5-litre diesel engine or a 160 HP, 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine.
