Honda's All-New Adventure Bike: A CB350-Based Challenger for the Royal Enfield Himalayan
Honda is in the process of developing a new adventure bike poised to compete with the Royal Enfield Himalayan. According to a recently filed design patent, it appears that this upcoming model will be based on the CB350.
Expected to share the CB350's foundation, the adventure bike will likely feature a distinct suspension setup geared towards off-road capabilities. The design patent image reveals a telescopic fork at the front and dual shocks at the rear.
The Honda adventure bike could sport an off-road-friendly front fairing, incorporating a tall windscreen, circular headlamp, and a prominent beak. Additionally, the design may include provisions for attaching panniers and a top box.
Powering the adventure bike is anticipated to be the same 349cc single-cylinder engine found in the CB350. Generating 21 BHP and 30 Nm of torque, the engine is coupled with a 5-speed gearbox featuring an assist and slipper clutch.
