Hero Xude Leaked in Patent Images, Potentially the New 125cc Scooter

Hero MotoCorp recently trademarked the name "Hero Xude" and filed a design patent, providing a sneak peek at what appears to be a new 125cc scooter set to be positioned above the Hero Xoom.

A few months ago, an unreleased scooter was spotted undergoing testing near Hero's R&D center in Jaipur. This scooter featured a larger rear wheel and borrowed body panels from the Hero Xoom, leading us to believe that it is the same model slated for a 125cc segment launch.

The leaked patent design showcases a sharp front profile with a split headlight cluster, distinctive alloy wheel design, a flat and spacious footboard, a wide seat, and split grab handles at the rear. To set it apart from the Xoom, this scooter is expected to come with additional features, including the Xtec system, a digital cluster with smartphone connectivity, and more.

It's likely that the same engine will power this upcoming scooter, producing 9 HP at 7000 RPM and 10.4 Nm at 5500 RPM. The specific tuning for this scooter's character is yet to be disclosed.

The Indian two-wheeler manufacturer is anticipated to unveil the new scooter by the end of this year or early next year.
