Tata Motors has officially teased the upcoming facelift of the Tata Harrier, set to hit the market in the upcoming festive season, with bookings starting on October 6. The revamped model is expected to closely resemble the concept showcased at the 2023 Auto Expo.

In terms of visual changes, the facelifted Harrier will feature a redesigned front fascia, incorporating connected LED Daytime Running Lights (DRLs), a fresh grille design, and an updated headlight cluster on a revised bumper. The exterior enhancements extend to a new alloy wheel design and rear-end modifications, including new tail lights with a connected LED strip spanning the width of the SUV.

The teaser highlights dynamic lighting on the front profile, showcasing a signature gold color. Tata Motors is likely to introduce new color options with the facelift, adding a touch of freshness. These exterior details echo the aesthetics of the Harrier EV concept displayed at the Auto Expo.

The interior is set for significant updates, including a redesigned steering wheel. Departing from the two-spoke design seen in the Tata Nexon facelift, the Harrier will sport a more premium 4-spoke steering wheel, complete with an illuminated logo on the horn pad. The dashboard will undergo color tone tweaks, and the HVAC panel will feature touch-sensitive buttons for a cleaner appearance. The gear shift lever, inspired by Range Rover, will be shorter and exude a premium feel. New upholstery options will also be available.

Under the hood, Tata Motors will retain the 2.0-litre diesel engine generating 170 PS and 350 Nm of torque. This powerplant will be paired with a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission. Speculations suggest that the Harrier and Safari facelifts might later incorporate a new 170 PS 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine. Additionally, Tata Motors is gearing up for the future launch of all-electric versions of both SUV models.
