Tata Motors has officially announced the launch date for the Punch.ev, the much-anticipated compact electric SUV. The prices for this electric marvel are set to be unveiled on January 17, 2024.

Built on Tata's cutting-edge 'acti.ev' platform, the Tata Punch.ev marks a significant leap in the brand's electric vehicle lineup. The versatile skateboard architecture of the acti.ev platform will serve as the foundation for all forthcoming EVs from Tata Motors.

The acti.ev platform showcases its adaptability by supporting AWD, RWD, and FWD drivetrains. Offering a charging versatility, the platform features a 7.2 kW to 11 kW onboard charger for both AC fast charging and DC fast charging capabilities, reaching up to 150 kW. Tata asserts an impressive 10% enhancement in the energy density of the battery pack. Depending on the battery's capacity, the Punch.ev is expected to deliver a commendable range ranging from 300 to 600 km.

As for its design, the Punch.ev exhibits a distinctive front fascia adorned with an LED light bar and complemented by dual-tone alloy wheels. Inside, the car adheres to Tata's latest design philosophy, showcasing a sleek dashboard housing a floating touchscreen, a digital instrument cluster, and a modern 2-spoke steering wheel.
