BMW Unveils the All-New X2: Redefining Style and Power Choices

BMW X2

BMW has introduced the latest iteration of the X2, which shares its foundation with the X1. This new model showcases a more distinct coupe SUV design and is offered in various versions, including petrol, diesel, and electric options.

In terms of its appearance, the X2 closely resembles the X1 from the front angle, but it distinguishes itself with a fresh grille design and a sportier front bumper. The side profile remains largely similar up to the B-pillar, after which the sloping roofline adds a unique touch that seamlessly blends into the rear design.

The rear view of the X2 sets it apart from other BMW models with its distinctive taillights and an aggressive bumper featuring quad exhausts.

Moving to the interior, the X2 closely mirrors the X1. It retains the BMW Curved Display, a three-spoke steering wheel, and a dashboard layout that closely resembles its sibling. However, the interior color scheme has been adjusted to offer a more sporty visual appeal.

The BMW iX2 xDrive30 features two electric motors, one at the front and one at the rear, delivering a combined system output of 230 kW/313 HP (including temporary boost) and 494 Nm of torque. The iX2 xDrive30 can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/hr in just 5.6 seconds and reach a top speed of 180 km/hr. Its range falls between 417 and 449 km in the WLTP cycle.

Other engine options include a 241 HP 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine in the xDrive28i, a 312 HP 2.0-liter unit in the range-topping model, and a 2.0-liter diesel engine choice.

While the first-generation X2 was not available in the Indian market, it is anticipated that BMW may introduce the new X2 in India sometime next year.
