BMW Unveils Luxury and Performance: Meet the 740d M Sport & i7 M70 xDrive in India

BMW has just set the wheels of luxury and performance in motion in the Indian market with the launch of the 740d M Sport and i7 M70 xDrive variants, priced at Rs. 1.81 crores and Rs. 2.50 crores respectively (all prices, ex-showroom). While the diesel variant is assembled locally at the BMW Group Plant in Chennai, the electric variant is imported directly via CBU.

The BMW 740d M Sport offers a choice of striking colors, including Oxide Grey, Mineral White, Black Sapphire, and BMW Individual Tanzanite Blue. On the other hand, the BMW i7 M70 xDrive brings an extra dash of style with two-tone paintwork options and standard BMW Individual paintwork, allowing you to choose between a Black Sapphire Roof or Oxide Grey Roof, among others.

Under the hood, the BMW 740d M Sport boasts a potent 3.0-liter 6-cylinder diesel engine, cranking out 286 HP and a robust 650 Nm of torque at 1500-2500 RPM, paired with an agile 8-speed automatic transmission. It sprints from 0-100 km/hr in a mere 6 seconds, reaching a top speed of 250 km/hr.

The BMW i7 M70 xDrive, on the other hand, harnesses an electric powertrain with an impressive 660 HP and a jaw-dropping 1100 Nm of torque. It catapults from 0-100 km/hr in just 3.7 seconds and maintains a top speed of 250 km/hr. All this power is backed by a substantial 101.7 kWh battery pack, offering a remarkable WLTP range of 560 km on a full charge.

These cutting-edge BMW models come equipped with an array of premium features, including BMW Crystal Headlights, an illuminated BMW Iconic Glow kidney grille, a 31.3-inch touch screen with 8K resolution, a Bowers & Wilkins Diamond Surround Sound System featuring 36 speakers, Executive Lounge Seating, BMW ConnectedDrive technology, Cruise Control, Attentiveness Assistant, Parking Assistant Professional with remote parking via smartphone, and Reversing Assistant.
