In a significant breakthrough, Bajaj Auto is on the brink of unveiling a CNG-petrol hybrid motorcycle, codenamed the "Bruzer of E101," in the next 6 to 12 months, should all go according to plan. Prototypes of the 110cc CNG wonder have already materialized, and initial production is set to roll out from the Aurangabad facility, with plans for expansion to the Pant Nagar plant. Bajaj Auto boasts a stellar record of adapting three-wheelers to CNG and LPG, with a stranglehold on a staggering 90 percent of the passenger three-wheeler market.

Initially, the company aimed to manufacture approximately 1-1.2 lakh CNG bikes each year. However, spurred by mounting demand for cleaner and more economical mobility solutions, this figure has been raised to over 2 lakh units.

While precise details about the CNG bike's features, pricing, and launch dates remain undisclosed, Rajiv Bajaj, the Managing Director of Bajaj Auto, hinted that CNG motorcycles could be a game-changer in addressing affordability hurdles within the 100-110cc segment. And with government support, lower GST rates on CNG vehicles could potentially open the door to more affordable eco-friendly motorcycles for entry-level buyers.
