Ather Energy Launches New Rizta Electric Scooter, Priced from INR 1,09,999

Ather Energy, a key player in the electric vehicle market, has officially begun production of its latest model, the Rizta electric scooter. This milestone was marked as the first production-spec Rizta rolled out from their advanced manufacturing facility today.

Production Kickoff Announcement

Tarun Mehta, Co-founder and CEO of Ather Energy, announced the news on Twitter: “The first production versions of Rizta are starting to roll off the line now!” signaling the company's readiness to introduce this eagerly awaited scooter to the market.

Designed for the Whole Family

The Rizta is designed with a focus on comfort, convenience, and safety, catering to the needs of the entire family. It comes equipped with an array of connected features to enhance the riding experience. Among these is Ather’s proprietary SkidControl technology, and a unique integration of WhatsApp functionality on the dashboard, emphasizing its modern, user-friendly design.

Models and Variants

The Rizta is available in two models and three variants: Rizta S and Rizta Z with a 2.9 kWh battery, and the top-tier Rizta Z with a 3.7 kWh battery. The 2.9 kWh versions offer an estimated IDC range of 123 km, while the 3.7 kWh variant boasts a range of 160 km. The Rizta S is offered in three monotone colors, whereas the Rizta Z comes in seven colors, including four dual-tone options.

Comfort and Convenience at Its Best

Designed with rider comfort in mind, the Rizta features the largest seat in its segment and a spacious floorboard. The Rizta Z variant includes a backrest for the pillion, providing extra lumbar support. Storage is another strong point, offering a total of 56 liters, which includes a 34-liter underseat compartment and an optional 22-liter Frunk accessory. The underseat storage can also be fitted with a multi-purpose charger for charging electronic devices on the go.

Advanced Safety Features

Ather continues to prioritize safety with the Rizta, introducing SkidControl, a traction control system that prevents loss of traction on slippery surfaces. The scooter also includes advanced safety features from Ather’s 450 series, such as FallSafe, Emergency Stop Signal (ESS), Theft & Tow Detect, and Find My Scooter. All Rizta variants have a top speed of 80 km/h and offer two riding modes: Zip and SmartEco. Additionally, ride assist features like MagicTwist, AutoHold, and Reverse Mode ensure a smooth and controlled ride under various conditions.

Battery and Charging Solutions

Ather offers a five-year/60,000 km warranty program called ‘Ather Battery Protect,’ guaranteeing a minimum of 70% battery health at the end of the warranty period. For home charging, the Rizta S and Rizta Z with a 2.9 kWh battery come with a 350W portable charger, while the 3.7 kWh Rizta Z includes a 700W Ather Duo charger. Owners will also benefit from Ather’s extensive fast-charging network, with over 1800 fast charging points nationwide.

Pricing and Availability

Bookings for the Ather Rizta are now open, with deliveries expected to begin soon. The Rizta S with a 2.9 kWh battery is priced at INR 1,09,999 (ex-showroom Bengaluru), the Rizta Z with a 2.9 kWh battery at INR 1,24,999, and the top-end Rizta Z with a 3.7 kWh battery at INR 1,44,999.
