"2024 Skoda Kodiaq: A Bold Evolution of an SUV Icon

Skoda has officially revealed the highly-anticipated 2024 Kodiaq, marking the arrival of the second generation of this popular SUV. After a series of teasers and glimpses of test mules, the new Kodiaq boasts a complete overhaul in both design and features, offering updated engine options to boot.

Skoda has ushered in a more mature look for the new SUV, departing from the sharper edges and angular design of the outgoing model. The 2024 Kodiaq features smoother curves and edges, enhancing its aerodynamic profile.

At the front, while there may be a hint of the first-generation Kodiaq, the 2024 model sports an array of fresh elements, including LED Matrix headlights, LED DRLs, a redesigned bonnet, a new butterfly grille, and revised bumpers. The side profile showcases a sleek shoulder line running along the body, emphasizing its increased length of 6 cm. Additionally, the 2024 Kodiaq offers a range of new alloy wheel designs.

The rear of the SUV presents a completely revamped look, featuring a restyled D-pillar, new LED taillights, an updated tailgate, and a fresh bumper design. Skoda will introduce multiple variants, each with slight variations in bumper design and alloy wheels.

Inside the cabin, the 2024 Kodiaq welcomes a fully revamped and more premium interior. It boasts a 13-inch touchscreen infotainment system, accompanied by a 10-inch Virtual Cockpit. An optional head-up display is also available. Skoda has introduced Smart Dials on the center console to reduce clutter, offering multiple functions and small digital displays for various modes.

To enhance practicality and reduce clutter further, Skoda has relocated the gear selector to the steering column. The front seats even offer an optional massage function, elevating the comfort level.

The 2024 Kodiaq offers a new plug-in hybrid petrol engine, delivering 204 HP and a claimed electric-only range of 100 km (WLTP). Other engine options include 1.5-liter TSI, 2.0-liter TSI, and 2.0-liter TDI engines. For the Indian market, Skoda is expected to introduce the 2.0 TSI engine initially.

Top-tier variants of the Kodiaq will come equipped with all-wheel drive as standard. The new SUV also features the Dynamic Chassis Control System and advanced ADAS technology.
