The 2024 Isuzu D-Max has been officially revealed in the international market as the latest iteration of this pickup truck. This marks the third generation of the D-Max, which originally launched globally in 2019 and has now received a facelift. While the Indian market still offers the second-generation model, there are hopes for the arrival of the new generation in the near future.

In terms of aesthetics, the updated D-Max boasts a striking appearance with a prominent front grille, redesigned headlights featuring angular styling, a robust front bumper, rugged cladding, and new 18-inch alloy wheels. Although there's limited room for creativity in styling the rear of a pickup truck, Isuzu has managed to craft an appealing tail light cluster with fresh detailing and a reworked tailgate.

Inside the cabin, the D-Max receives an interior makeover with a dual-tone color scheme. Buyers can choose between an all-black interior or an elegant brown and black combination that extends to both the dashboard and upholstery. Technological upgrades include a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 7-inch digital instrument cluster. USB-C ports are available for both front and rear passengers, and the vehicle features a new key with remote engine start functionality.

Under the hood, the engine lineup remains unchanged, with options including a 1.9-liter diesel engine producing 150 PS and 350 Nm of torque, as well as a 3.0-liter diesel engine delivering 190 PS and 450 Nm of torque. Globally, the pickup truck is offered with both 2WD and 4WD configurations, paired with 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmission choices.

Isuzu claims that the new D-Max features an enhanced 4×4 system with revised mechanical components. Additionally, it is available with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) technology. Overall, this updated model presents itself as a more appealing and competitive version compared to the one currently sold in India. If launched in the Indian market, it could pose a formidable challenge to the Toyota Hilux.
